Exam Bus Stop Info: November 2016

Posted 18 October 2016

South East Light Rail construction is progressing rapidly in Randwick and Kensington and will impact public transport journeys during the upcoming examination session.

Due to construction works, the UNSW Express Bus Services will need to use a different bus stop for Racecourse drop-offs during the Semester Two 2016 examination session.

UNSW, Transport for NSW, and Sydney Buses have examined a range of options to ensure the safest, fastest and most reliable route has been selected.

All students and staff are being encouraged to allow plenty of extra time for their journeys to and from the Randwick Racecourse and UNSW campuses, due to construction-related changed traffic conditions and congestion.

What is different this semester?
  • 890 and 891 Express Buses cannot use the busway along Anzac Parade and Alison Road due to Light Rail construction.
  • 890 and 891 buses heading towards UNSW will drop off students at a bus stop along Anzac Parade during exams – Tay St, Kensington (203317).
  • You can then walk to the Racecourse, taking around 10-12 minutes (see map for detailed walking instructions).
  • 891 and 895 buses will not pick up students from the Racecourse. The 372 is a good alternative.
  • Sydney Buses will provide extra 372 buses to pick up students from the Racecourse making their way to Eddy Avenue (Central Station).
