Light Rail Night Work in Randwick from Sunday 10 July

What is happening?

From Sunday 10 July, night work will be taking place in Randwick for the Light Rail. This work is being carried out outside the standard working hours to minimise disruption to traffic during peak hours.

Details of the work

Work will take place at the following locations and times:

  • Wansey Road (between Alison Road and High Street) from Sunday 10 July to Friday 15 July, 9pm to 5am.
  • Alison Road (between Darley Road and Prince Street) from Monday 11 July to Friday 12 August, 9pm to 5am.

Work activities will include setting up traffic controls, utility relocation, civil work, vegetation work, traffic signals and signage.

How will the works affect you?
  • Access from High Street onto Wansey Road will be temporarily closed from 10 to 15 July. Access to buildings and driveways will be maintained for local residents.
  • Access to Wansey Road from Alison Road and Arthur Street will remain open.
  • Motorists will still be able to travel in both directions along Alison Road.
  • Local residents may experience some noise and vibration during the work.
  • High noise activities such as saw cutting and jackhammering will not take place for more than two consecutive nights. Respite periods will be in place to mitigate impacts to residents.
