Road closures on High Street between June 29 and July 23

Road and traffic closures will commence on High Street, between Botany Street and Wansey Road, from 10pm Friday 29 June until Monday 23 July, 2018.

These involve the pouring of UNSW light rail stop slabs and installing OCS pole foundations, as part of the new light rail line.

There will be continuous works at the intersection High Street and Botany Street each weekend during the period from 10pm Friday until 5am Monday.

Traffic and pedestrian changes

  • High Street will be closed between Botany Street and Wansey Road. There will be no westbound vehicle access onto High Street from Botany Street.
  • Traffic travelling westbound on High Street towards the Botany Street intersection will be diverted via Arthur Street and Wansey Road. Wansey Road will be open to traffic in both directions between High Street and Arthur Street.
  • Botany Street will be reduced to one lane only through which both northbound and southbound traffic will travel under the direction of traffic control during the following times:
  • Works will take place Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm and 5am, and Sundays from 5am until following Monday at 5am
