UNSW 891 Express Bus Services from Central Station

Route UNSW 891 Express departs from Eddy Avenue, Stand D and drops off at UNSW High St Gate 8 and Gate 3.

Buses are scheduled every few minutes during the morning peak. Wait times between 5 and 15 minutes may be expected.

Please note: The beginning of term is always a busy period for public transport to campus, and for the first month, the queues for the UNSW Express bus can be very heavy at Eddy Avenue in the morning.

State Transit Authority, Sydney Buses and UNSW Security provides staff to assist with loading the buses and to keep the queues moving as quickly as possible.

UNSW 893 and 898 Express Bus Services from UNSW to Central Station

Route 893 to Central Station departs from Gate 3 High St.

Route 898 to Central Station departs from Gate 8 High St.

UNSW will be supplementing the afternoon and evening services with additional charter buses at the beginning of Term 1 to help you get home.

Buses during Exams

During each exam period, the UNSW 891 Express Bus service from Central Station to UNSW includes an additional stop near the Randwick Racecourse for student examinations.

The Randwick Racecourse stop is not a compulsory stop, but bus drivers are instructed to stop if passengers ask. There are no changes to the route from campus back to Central Station.

The UNSW 891, 898 and 893 Express bus services to and from the campus operates on a reduced timetable.

UNSW Art and Design Paddington Shuttle Bus

A courtesy shuttle bus operates between UNSW Art and Design Paddington Campus and UNSW Kensington Campus during the academic year. The shuttle bus stop is located just inside the Gate 8 entrance on High Street Kensington and at the Greens Rd entrance in Paddington. 

Please note the primary purpose of the shuttle bus is to operate as a night shuttle bus. Capacity and frequency is limited. Seating is not guaranteed. Students and staff are encouraged to take public transport. For more information, download the shuttle bus timetable.
