All three awards recognise the outstanding work of UNSW's contractor Green Options, and their trained horticulturalists and green keepers.

The awards, from the leading industry body for landscape professionals in NSW and ACT, recognise the consistent high standard of the ongoing lawn maintenance including regularly mowing and edging the greens, garden bed maintenance and landscaping works.

The work required to maintain the 40,000m2 of lush lawns, 500 individual garden beds and 1200 trees at the 38 ha Kensington campus to such a high standard is continual.

Grounds manager Mark Clark said the awards recognise a combined effort of Estate Management.

“Estate Management creates the landscape from conception to completion and then entrusts this to our team to maintain,” he said.

The annual Awards are the highest accolades in the industry and celebrate the highest standards of garden and green-keeping maintenance work.
