Sustainability on Campus

UNSW recognises that it has an important role to play
in not only researching and teaching about sustainability issues, but demonstrating sound practices on our campuses.

Estate Management (EM) is directly involved in creating a sustainable campus and we are continuously reviewing our sustainability performance and introducing new initiatives. EM manages the following areas:

  • Energy management
  • Water management
  • Waste management and recycling
  • Green buildings
  • Grounds management
  • Supporting sustainable transport use (i.e. public transport, cycling, walking and carpooling)
  • Fleet management.
