If you are a new UNSW employee or a contractor, you can find all the information here on how to obtain or replace your UNSW ID card. If you are a student looking to obtain your UNSW ID card, please visit The Nucleus: Student Hub.

Please note that as of Monday 4 January 2021, UNSW parking counter services that were located on Level 2, Mathews Building have relocated to Gate 2 Security Office adjacent to the IGA and UNSW Village.

If you are a new UNSW employee, you can obtain your staff ID card from Security & Traffic Management. Your first card will be complimentary, but if lost or stolen, a replacement card will incur a $25 fee.

If you are a new starter, who is not a direct UNSW employee, you will need pre-approval to obtain a card. You can obtain a ID card, at a cost of $25, from Security & Traffic Management.

If you are a trade contractor, you will need to complete your Contractor Induction Training before applying for your ID card. At the end, there will be a Contractor ID Card Application form. Send the form to your UNSW project manager. Once your form is approved, bring this to Security and Traffic Management to obtain your ID card. A $25 fee applies.

If your ID card is expiring or has expired, you can replace this at no cost if you bring it in. To organise a replacement card, visit Security & Traffic Management.

If you lose your ID card or suspect it has been stolen, you can cancel the card by contacting Security immediately on 9385 6000 or emailing ID.cards@unsw.edu.au.

Unless you can provide a police report to advise your card was stolen, all replacement ID cards incur a $25 fee.

If your ID card was damaged, or not working, you can replace this at no cost if you bring it in.
